my promise
Your Pets will be safe And happy.
My first priority is to keep your dog safe and happy. My second is to ensure you know they’re safe and happy. My third is that you return to your home just as you left it. I’ve never had a dog get off their leash, escape the house, or scuffle with another dog. I’m meticulous about feeding times and meal prep. And I’m fine administering almost any medication.

while you’re away…
Your Pets
My first priority is that you know your little ones are safe and happy. I keep a pretty tight feeding, walking, meds, and bathroom break schedule (especially if you have one for me to follow). I lock all doors when I arrive and when I leave. Your dog will never be off-leash with me, except in your fenced-in yard. And we avoid getting close to other dogs on our walks. I send at least one photo each day, and more if you'd like. And I offer pretty detailed daily recaps for at least our first few days together.
Your Home
Your home will be safe and clean. My goal is for you to arrive home with almost no trace of my having been there. I bring my own food. (I might use some condiments or cooking oil.) No drugs, weed, or edibles, while I'm there. No overnight guests. I might have a friend join me for coffee, but only with your permission. I'll strip the bed, wash the dishes I used, and leave each room as clean as I found it. I'm also happy to water your plants, collect your mail and packages, or shovel the walks.
And me
I work full-time remotely. That means I'll set up shop at your dining room table or an extra desk if you have one. I'm rarely gone for more than 4 hours, and that's generally just to have coffee or dinner with a friend or take in a matinee. I don't have a partner, children, or pets at home, so I'm able to stay for long stretches at your home if that's what you need. Mostly, I'll just hang out at your place with your pets.

Testimonials
“Wow, just wow! Ryan is so amazingly awesome! We were incredibly apprehensive about leaving our two boys as we’d had a not-so-great experience with a different sitter in the past. But, in reading Ryan’s reviews on Rover, he did NOT disappoint! He came over for a meet and greet about a week before and man alive - he has amazing dog energy! Our guys, who are usually pretty protective of new folks coming into our house, just immediately wanted pets and belly rubs. He sent pics and updates, and we couldn’t even tell he’d been at our house once he left. Although we don’t love leaving our fur babies, we can’t wait to use “Mr. Ryan” again! We know our boys will have a great time!”
“We were really worried about finding the right person to watch our nervous chihuahua, but Ryan was the best choice! He was very professional throughout the process, followed all of our instructions carefully, and kept us updated while we were away. Ryan must be a dog whisperer because there were literally zero mishaps during his stay. This is the guy you want!”
“Ryan was completely awesome. He stayed at our house for about 2 weeks with our 9-month-old kitty and 6-year-old dog, who needs oral meds religiously every 12 hours. The animals were both feeling and looking great when we got home. He might have walked our dog more than we normally do (fantastic), the house looked exactly the same as when we left, he had brought in our mail and watered our plants and had just done such a great job. This was our first time with Ryan and hopefully will not be our last.”
“Ryan was fantastic with our 2 dogs! One of them had an unfortunate stomach issue during his visit and Ryan was so attentive to Jaxx - even cleaning up a few messes with no complaints. He kept us updated on Jaxx’s status throughout the 3 day weekend. Ryan was so good at making us feel comfortable being away while Jaxx was sick. We’ll definitely book with Ryan again.”

About Me
MY NAME IS Ryan
I was the proud human for Rilke, a lab mix rescue, for 14 years. And I was a loving human to Oscar, a high-strung border collie rescue, for five years, too. I lost them both in 2019. My current home doesn't allow me to own any pets, and without the two of them in my life, I channel that love into caring for your pets in your home. Mostly, I just miss my two dogs.
